The vision of Performance
Media is to be the premiere developer and distributor
of products on Peak Performance.
This vision involves the goal of creating a Peak Performance
Curriculum that consists of print and multi-media products
that help individuals and groups maximize their performance.
Specific methods for developing potential are available
and come straight from our best information from exceptional
abilities, performances sciences and sport psychology.
We do know methods and practices that help young people
to develop their talent and potential.
There is abundant information available in the areas of
peak performance, maximizing potential and performance,
and mental skills training.
We can train youths not just to be better performers in
a particular sport. We can train young people in the very
qualities that are at the heart of becoming successful,
creative, and effective individuals. It is our vision
and goal to present this type of training to a broad youth
audience, through computer-based and web-based learning
technology.
Peak performers across the areas of sports, business and
the arts, have certain mental qualities in common. These
mental qualities of top performers, such as visualization,
concentration, drive, risk taking, and goal setting, are
skills. Because these characteristics are skills, we can
teach others to develop the mental traits that top achievers
have naturally or have developed on their own.
Behind our vision is a sense of value and significance.
Individuals can learn how to visualize, how to set goals,
how to concentrate and how to do the specific exercises
and practices that make acquiring these competencies possible.
In essence, anyone learn about the characteristics and
qualities of peak performance and high achievement and
ways in which these mental strengths can be developed.
Behind the technology, is a message about human potential.
The implicit idea in what we are teaching and training
is that talent is much more widely distributed than we
previously thought. Each child has great promise and potential.
The difference that makes a difference is learning how
to realize one’s latent talents. We are vitally
interested in playing a role in putting the understanding
and know-how from the performance sciences into easy steps
and methods that young people can learn and apply to their
own lives. The idea is to broaden the access, so that
anyone can learn about life skills and the specific skills
associated with peak performance and expressing more of
one’s potential.
